Finance : Santander offer for bank deposits RBS 'business'


Santander May a tender for banks Royal Bank of Scotland to start the business interests that have been suggested.

Bank Santander would be able to provide for the Royal Bank of Scotland's (RBS) account-based business class, it has been proposed.

An article in the Financial Times points out that under the competition rules of the Bank given the opportunity to provide for the 312 stores that are intended to RBS and the Lloyds Bank Group to be sold.

Currently, Santander - which owns Alliance & Leicester, Abbey and Bradford & Bingley - less than eight per cent share of the market for small business lending.
